NASDAQ Dubai Merger of Trading Operations with DFM
Information for existing Mashreq Securities' NASDAQ Dubai clients but are not Mashreq Securities' DFM clients
With reference to the NASDAQ Dubai (ND) merge of Trading Operations with the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) which will be effective from Sunday July 11th, 2010, please note the following changes that will occur in regards to your trading of NASDAQ Dubai securities through Mashreq Securities:
- Since we have not identified you as having an existing DFM trading account through Mashreq Securities, ND has requested DFM to assign a new Investor number (NIN) for you in order to transfer your current ND holdings with Mashreq Securities into.
- Please note that this Investor Number is only opened by ND with DFM on a temporary basis and is restricted for all trading (including SELLs). In order to trade ND securities, you will need to submit all the relevant documentation to DFM to formalize your temporary NIN.
- Once the NIN is formalized you may provide Mashreq Securities with the same in order to open your trading account and transfer the shares into your MS’ account.
- For your easy reference, the DFM NIN that has been opened for you and where your current ND shares are held is available by contacting our Customer Service at the number specified below.
- If you already have a DFM NIN, please provide it to Mashreq Securities as soon as possible to avoid uninterrupted ND trading.
Also, please note that prior to the NASDAQ Dubai go-live date of July 11th, 2010; we as Mashreq Securities are undergoing a system upgrade to prepare for this merger. This system upgrade will be live on Sunday July 4th, 2010. As a result of the upgrade, we have been required to create a new Client ID for you that you will need to use to trade NASDAQ Dubai Securities until the ND Trading Operations merge on July 11th, 2010 takes place. After the Go-live date of July 11th, 2010, you will not be able to trade ND securities until the above mentioned procedure has been completed to regularize your temporary DFM NIN.
